FIRE DETECTION & ALARM SYSTEMS MUST BE TESTED IN LINE WITH AS 1851-2012:

Monthly – check FIP & alarm functions

6-Monthly – sample detector tests

Yearly – full system test

5-Yearly – comprehensive service & sensitivity checks

Smoke alarms (AS 3786) are for homes, while full fire detection systems (AS 1670) protect commercial & multi-res buildings. Early warning saves lives — make sure your system is tested and compliant.
